Prayer may give people a sense of hope, get them through the day, make them happy. I’m all for it. Just don’t think your prayers are actually being answered when it’s only coincidental.

Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day; teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime; give a man religion and he will die praying for a fish.
